My favorite goddess is Aphrodite, the greek goddess of love and beauty mostly because of the amazing acting of alexandra tydings in the Hercules and Xena tv shows. Also when one of my friends went to greece, she brought me back a statue of aphrodite which i keep in the best spot in my room for eveyone to see. i also find like the way she was born, and the fact that she is the hottest goddess and her husband is the uglyest god is just funny.
Aphrodite is the Greek goddess of love and beauty. Known in roman mythology as Venus, which is the only planet in our solar system that is named after a female. She was born when the titan Cronus cut off Uranus' genitals and threw them into the sea, and Aphrodite rose from the sea foam. Zeus married her to Hephaestus, the god of fire and instead of being loyal to her husband, Aphrodite had a fling with the god of war, Ares and the messenger god, Hermes.
Her most well known symbols are the rose, dove, and swan. Other symbols include the dolphin, scallop shell, myrtle, sparrow, girdle, and mirrors.
